About Us
Grace Baptist Church has been in existence for nearly twenty years. We exist as an
independent Baptist church which means that decisions about faith and practice are made here
at the congregational level rather than as part of a denominational structure. We are a member of the
General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC). Which is a fellowship of likeminded churches
to us from all accross the country.
A Few Comments on "Style"
Regarding the Word.
We regard the Holy Scriptures in the same way they present themselves -the inspired breath of God. Accordingly we strive for precise understanding of the Scriptures in our pulpit, in our classrooms and in our fellowships. You will find that the pulpit ministry is almost wholly expository in nature with an emphasis on living holy in a secular-humanist culture. Regarding our Worship.
Recognizing that today the church attender is faced with such a wide spectrum of worship styles, Grace Baptist Church remains what has come to be called "traditional" in format. But don’t let this cultural tag fool you. The people of GBC make the worship warm and dynamic. We still sing out of a hymn book, and you will hear the sounds of piano and organ encouraging the saints in their singing. Regarding our "Family Feel"
Our church family consists of members and regular local attenders. That being said, we love to have visitors. Often when visiting a new church a person can feel isolated or attacked. We strive to send neither of these messages. You will find an easy, relaxed, but enthusiastic and genuine welcome at GBC. We will not seek to sit you down or sign you up or take over your living room the next week.
